Now, ya see, this here Desert Rose, it’s real good for feng shui in the home. Folks say it brings all kinds of luck and good fortune. So if you got one of them Desert Roses, you wanna place it in just the right spot to get the most outta it. I ain’t no expert or nothin’, but I heard if you put it in the East or Southeast corners of the house, it helps with bringin’ health and wealth. That’s what they say, anyhow. Them directions is supposed to be real lucky for money and prosperity. So, if you lookin’ to invite some of that into your life, that’s where you wanna start.
Now, another thing folks talk about is if you put it down South, that’s real good for fame and recognition. Not sure why, but somethin’ about that area just makes your name get out there. Like, if you’re tryin’ to get noticed, or if you’re in a business, South is your spot. You put that Desert Rose down there, and they say your name gonna spread just like them flowers.
They also say you can put that rose in the four corners of your home, keeps the bad spirits and negative stuff out. You know, like wardin’ off bad energies and all that. I don’t know much ‘bout spirits, but can’t hurt to keep ‘em out, right? Especially when it’s somethin’ as simple as puttin’ a plant in a corner.
Now listen, if you got one of them Desert Roses, you gotta take care of it right too. They like sun, but not too much, or it’ll burn them leaves. You can give it a good sunny spot, maybe by a window, but watch out for that midday sun. Too hot can scorch it up. And ya don’t wanna water it too much neither. These plants don’t like wet feet. Too much water, and next thing you know, you got root rot, and ain’t nobody got time for that. So, sunny but not too hot, and a light hand on the waterin’.
Some folks even believe that the roots and base of the Desert Rose mean somethin’ special too. They say them big, swollen roots stand for fertility and abundance. The bigger they are, the more good fortune you gonna have. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I reckon it’s somethin’ nice to think about. It’s like the plant itself is tryin’ to tell you, “I’m growin’, and so’s your good luck.”
If you got a place in your home for that Desert Rose, make sure you find a good spot for it. East and Southeast if you want money and health, South if you need people to know who you are, and four corners if you want to keep the bad things away. And remember, it’s a plant that loves sunlight, but not too much, and don’t drown it in water. Treat it right, and maybe it’ll treat you right too. That’s what I heard, anyhow.
